    I need a quote for insurance purposes?

    Jungle Aquatics don't provide written quotes for insurance purposes. We are not able to make any claims, nor do our suppliers, as to the reason and nature of equipment failure and the like. Please visit our online store and make use of the print page option to forward this as an indication to your insurer for pricing estimates.

    I need a quote on a custom build pond/aquarium?

    We do not offer a service for custom build ponds/aquariums. Please visit our store to view our range of aquariums on display.

    I have some second hand equipment for sale, will you be interested?

    Jungle Aquatics do not buy back or offer to sell second-hand equipment. Please make use of alternative sales channels like forums - MASA (Marine Aquariums SA), TASA (Tropical Aquariums SA), Gumtree, OLX, BidOrBuy, JunkMail, and Facebook Marketplace.

    Ordering and Delivery

    How do I place an order with you?

    You can easily search for our product offerings online, through the categories, or by making use of the search bar. Add the items to your cart and proceed to checkout. The process is fast, secure, and simple to use.

    Do I need an account to place an order?

    Opening an account greatly enhances your shopping experience with Jungle Aquatics. Your order history is available and checkout is super fast with your addresses on file. However, you do not need to have an account with us to shop online.

    How do I cancel my order?

    There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. If you contact us straight away after ordering we may be able to cancel your order before it’s processed, however, this is not guaranteed. If your order got despatch, it will go through the third-party logistical systems and this process is entirely out of our control. You would have to wait to receive your order via the courier service. Once received, you can then decide if you still wish to return the item to us. Please do take special note that returning an item back to Jungle Aquatics is not a free service, and if you do so the courier costs will be levied against your account if you make use of our assisted returns courier.

    Who should I contact if I have any shipping queries?

    Please contact the courier directly. You can also easily reach out to us through the contact us page. We are always happy to help!

    How do I track my order?

    No need to do this manually, we will automatically email you your shipping updates throughout the entire process! Still need to track it the old-fashioned way...simply visit the Trackings page, enter the order/waybill no and you'll see where your parcel is every step of the way.

    Do you offer a Cash on Delivery option?

    Unfortunately, we do not offer a COD (Cash on Delivery) option. Please make use of the SCode payment option through the Payfast checkout process. This will allow you to pay cash for your order at over 6000 outlets nationwide.

    Do you deliver to Namibia and neighbouring countries?

    Although we do not offer delivery outside the borders of South Africa, customers from neighboring countries are more than welcome to order from our online store and select the in-store collection option and arrange a courier from their side. We are able to assist with the export invoice documentation. Please note this excludes livestock.

    Can you deliver over weekends or after hours in the week?

    Since we make use of third-party courier partners, it is important to note that the courier company only operates during the week 9 am - 5 pm. No deliveries will be made over weekends or after hours unless a special arrangement was made prior. Please note additional shipping fees apply to after-hour deliveries. Should you require a more flexible shipping option, consider the locker pick-up options.

    When will my order ship?

    Orders are packed and shipped once all items are in stock. Unfortunately, no order will be shipped out partially.


    Can I return or exchange an item?

    You can absolutely return your item to us, within 7 days after receiving it, as long as it’s undamaged, unused and contained in its original packaging with all tags and labels attached. View our Refund Policy.

    How do I return an item?

    Providing the return is within the 7-day period and meets our return criteria, you can Log a Return here. we will issue you a store credit note by email. You will need to arrange and pay for suitable packaging when returning an item back to us. It is imperative that you contact Jungle Aquatics prior to returning any item to confirm you meet the returns criteria.

    What do I do if I lose my return note?

    We send return notes by email, so if you can locate the email we sent you, simply print off a new one. If you can’t find this email, please get in touch and ask for it to be resent to you.

    My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

    In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via with the details. We’ll respond shortly after. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in “as new” condition, and was not a special order item. The product would have to be in its original packaging with all labels/seals attached. Please Log a Return here.

    How long does it take to return an item?

    This depends on the carrier or shipping method that you choose when returning your item. Once we receive your return, we’ll notify you by email. We aim to process refunds swiftly after receiving the item, but it can take several days for your bank or credit card provider to process the refund into your account, or onto your card.


    What animals do you sell?

    We have a wide variety of fresh and saltwater fish and coral available. We also sell dwarf hamsters, bunnies, and guinea pigs. 

    Do you sell dogs or cats?

    We don’t sell dogs or cats. We would rather you support a local rescue or the SPCA or a reputable breeder.

    Send me your fish/coral/plant list and prices?

    Due to daily changes in inventory, we do not have a compiled list. Please visit us in-store to view our current offerings and pricing.

    I have some fish/koi that I need to sell?

    Due to the risk of cross-infection and our exclusive agreement with our suppliers, we do not take in, nor buy back or offer to resell any fish from the public.

    Please contact me when a certain fish/coral/plant etc. comes in?

    Unfortunately due to the nature of operations, we are unable to guarantee an arrival date of certain species. Please note we do not keep track of requests for a special order of species. Please check in with the store frequently. Friday afternoons are the best, to confirm availability.

    Can you order me certain species of fish/coral?

    Due to the overwhelming request for special species orders, which is rarely available to the local market, we do not offer this service. Please check in frequently and follow us on social media for updates.

    I breed with fish/coral/hamsters/rabbits etc, can I supply your store?

    Jungle Aquatics have a strict buying policy. Please contact us for consideration.

    Do you stock Turtles/Seahorses or other exotic animals?

    Not at all! As most of these species are considered illegal to keep in South Africa.

    Do you ship livestock?

    Unfortunately not. We are however more than happy to assist in the proper packaging requirements for fish/coral if you wish to send your own courier to collect.


    Do you sell gift vouchers?

    Yes, we do. These are issued electronically by email for online purchases or in-store card type for our retail outlet. Each contains a unique reference number. Our gift vouchers are ideal if you’re not sure what to get that special person in your life. 

    Do you offer a maintenance or callout service?

    We do not offer any pond/aquarium maintenance or callout services.

    I am starting a petshop, will you be able to supply me?

    Jungle Aquatics do not offer wholesale prices/catalogs. We are strictly retailers.

    I am a maintenance/contractor company and would like to buy wholesale from you?

    Unfortunately, we do not offer wholesale prices or accounts to the trade.

    We have our flagship store located in Fourways, Jhb, and we courier nationwide for your convenience.
