AQUARIUM BASICS MEDICATED CARE:
When adding any form of chemicals whether it is medicated or water treatment great care must be taken to insure that you do not harm any plants or fish. Make sure that you correctly diagnose the given problem and treat it with the correct product. Most aquarium treatments take time to take effect. Do not be tempted to exceed treatment instruction to speed up cure. It will have the opposite effect. Be patient and give it time.
PRODUCT TREATMENT:
Velvetil treatment for Velvet disease and white spot/ick/ich in tropical fish. Velvetil is a malachite green based product - A well-tried and tested formulation.
DIAGNOSIS GUIDE:
In freshwater fish, Velvet is caused by either Oödinium pillularis or Oödinium limneticum. In marine fish, Amyloödinium ocellatum causes the dreaded Coral Fish Disease. All three species have symptoms and life cycles similar to the well-known parasite, Ich. The disease gives infected organisms a dusty, brownish-gold colour.
PRIMARY CAUSE:
Like Ich, Oödinium may be present in most commercial aquariums, but only becomes a problem when the fish are stressed by poor quality water, changes in the water temperature, or being transported.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: VELVET & FRY-
Add 1 drop per 10 litres of aquarium water.

Add 1 drop per 5 litres of aquarium water.
PRECAUTIONARY WARNING:
Only use the product as specified. Handle with care. Keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wash with running water. Eye contact wash with running water for 15 minutes. Harmful if swallowed. If swallowed, induce vomiting and seek medical help immediately. Do not overdose since product overdose is toxic to fish.
