Maxspect Nano-Tech Denitrification Catalyst Refill 5 Pack is used to remove nitrogen from wastewater in freshwater/marine and reef sump filtration systems.
Denitrification is becoming more commonly used to remove nitrogen from sewage, municipal, industrial, and agricultural wastewater to counteract pollution. Various types of denitrification reactors and methods are now used and are effective in removing nitrate from agricultural runoff and even manure. Perfect for your freshwater/marine and reef sump filtration.
The Anaerobic-Block should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months for optimal results, however when cleaning/replacing old Anaerobic-Block, DO NOT replace all of them at the same time. Clean/replace half of the Anaerobic-Block such that there are sufficient bacterial colonies remaining to re-establish themselves in the newly cleaned/replaced Anaerobic-Block.
