How the Light Is Built

The Freshwater model uses an LED mix that can produce a large number of spectral combinations to suit your tank. Each strip carries roughly one light cluster group per foot of fixture length. The tight grouping and balanced diode placement give the Blade its colour balance and shimmer. Every cluster group contains 24 diodes:

• 16x Cool White
• 4x Warm White
• 2x Red
• 2x Blue

Mounting Options

The Blade is designed for many mounting solutions. You can choose from a Tank Rest, Elevated Tank Rest, Hanging Kit, Hybrid Mount or HMS Adapter Arm.

• Tank Rest: included with all Blade lights up to 39 inches (99 cm). This low-profile mount sits directly on top of the tank and extends up to 11.4 cm (4.5") on either side of the fixture.
• Mounting Clips: included with all Blade lights over 39 inches. They are compatible with the AI HMS Single Arm Mount and HMS Hanging Kit rails.
• Elevated Tank Rest: a sturdy tank mount for both rimmed and rimless tanks. Compared with the standard Tank Rest, it increases light spread and gives easier access into the aquarium.
• Hanging Kit: made from high-quality brushed aluminium with a black finish, for suspending the Blade above the aquarium. It also lets you mount 3, 4 or 6 light bars in parallel for increased coverage and a streamlined look.
• Hybrid Mount: designed to combine Blade strips with one or more AquaIllumination Hydra or EcoTech Radion pendant fixtures.
• Custom Mounting: M8 mounting threads at each end make it easy to build your own mount.

How to Use

• Mount the strip using the Tank Rest or Mounting Clips that come with it, or choose one of the other mounting options above.
• Connect the power adapter. The cable is 3 m (9.8') long.
• Control the light wirelessly from an iOS or Android device with the myAI or Mobius app. Both are free to download from Google Play and the App Store.
• In the app, adjust spectrum intensity and set custom schedules for each light, or pick one of the in-app templates.
• Each Blade also has onboard controls for cycling through spectrums.
