Aquavitro Shrimp Start is a complete water conditioner for freshwater shrimp aquariums, designed for shrimp keepers preparing tap water for a new tank, water changes or top-ups. This Seachem aquavitro conditioner removes chlorine and chloramines while detoxifying ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and heavy metals found in tap water.

How to Use

Use at aquarium start-up and whenever adding or replacing water. Add Aquavitro Shrimp Start to new water before it enters the aquarium where possible. It may also be added directly to the aquarium; when dosing this way, calculate the dose from the full aquarium volume.

Dosage

• Use 5 mL (1 tsp) for each 20 L (5 US gallons) of new water.
• For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely.
• For emergency nitrite detoxification, use up to 5 times the normal dose.
• If the temperature is above 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.

Freshwater shrimp tanks using tap water, including newly set-up aquariums, routine water changes and cycling systems.

Compatibility

Suitable for use with an aquarium biofilter. A sulphur odour is normal.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.
