How to Use

Testing takes three steps:

• Step 1, zero: Zero the instrument using your water sample.
• Step 2, add reagent: Add the Hanna calcium reagent to the vial.
• Step 3, read: Place the vial into the Calcium Checker, press the button and read the result on the display.

Using the MiniPipette: The MiniPipette has a two-stage plunger for accurately dispensing the 0.1 mL tank-water sample. It is spring-loaded and draws up and releases 100 µL.

• Attach the pipette tip.
• Press the button down until it reaches the first stop.
• Place the tip into your tank-water sample and let the plunger spring back up slowly to draw in the sample.
• Move the pipette to your testing vial and press the plunger down to the first stop to dispense the liquid.

Tips for accurate results:

• Use Hanna HI70436 Deionised Water.
• Make sure the testing vials are clean and free of debris.
• The outside of each vial must be dry and free of fingerprints before it goes into the meter.
• Don't shake the vial hard. Violent shaking creates microbubbles that can affect the reading.
• Don't let the sample stand too long before you take the reading.
