Advanced Control

The COR pumps were built from the ground up with control in mind. Through Apex Fusion you can set the pump's output percentage, view real-time operational feedback, compare feed routines and keep an eye on pump status. Once the pump is plugged into a 1Link port, a couple of button presses let you set the flow rate and feed mode settings. Enabling IQ-Level lets you set the minimum and maximum flow rates for your aquarium.

IQ-Level Technology

Not all aquariums are alike, so every COR pump includes IQ-Level. You can set the minimum and maximum speed to suit your tank's plumbing and arrive at the ideal flow rate. You can also set the minimum flow rate used for in-tank flow and for feed modes.

Operational Feedback

The COR-15 lets you monitor your aquarium's "heart" so you can act before something fails. Saltwater aquariums are notorious for calcium and other mineral build-up on pumps and their internal parts. This can restrict flow and, more importantly, damage the pump. Apex Fusion lets you monitor the pump's internal temperature, wattage draw and flow rate. You can also set alarms and alerts for when any reading moves outside its normal threshold. If the pump's temperature rises to an unsafe level, the COR slows itself down until it is safe again, giving you time to react and maintain the pump.

How to Use

• Plug the pump driver into a free 1Link port on a Neptune 1Link module or EnergyBar832 (the 4-metre / 13-foot 1Link cable is included).
• Choose the output fitting that matches your plumbing. The largest 1.25" union is suggested, but the 0.75" or 1.0" adapters work fine if your plumbing needs them.
• Use Apex Fusion to set the flow rate and feed mode, then enable IQ-Level to define the minimum and maximum flow rates.
• Set alarms and alerts for temperature, wattage and flow so you are notified if anything moves outside its normal range.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I run the COR-15 without an Apex controller?
No. The COR-15 needs both an Apex controller and a 1Link port to operate. If you don't have an Apex, the Neptune Systems COR-20 is the alternative.

Which output fitting should I use?
The largest 1.25" union is suggested. The 0.75" and 1.0" fittings are also supplied and can be used if your plumbing requires them.

How much power does it use?
It uses less than 50W at full power, quoted at 120VAC. The pump is powered through the 1Link connection, so no separate power brick is needed.

What happens if the pump gets too hot?
If the internal temperature rises to an unsafe level, the pump slows itself down until the temperature is safe again. This gives you time to react and maintain it. You can also set alarms and alerts in Apex Fusion.

My Apex doesn't have a free 1Link port. What can I do?
The Neptune 1Link Module adds 1Link ports to your system. The COR-15 also connects to the EnergyBar832.

Is the included cable long enough?
A 4-metre (13-foot) 1Link cable is included. If you need more length, a 1Link Extension Cable is available separately.
