How to Use

• Add AxoTonic to your aquarium during set-up and whenever you add fresh tap water, such as during a water change.
• Calculate the volume of your aquarium in litres: length x width x depth (in cm) / 1000.
• Test the GH of your aquarium water with the NT Labs Hardness Test Kit or the Aquarium Lab Multi Test Kit.
• Your GH result affects the dose rate you need, so check the packaging for the appropriate dose rate.
• Shake the bag thoroughly before treatment.

Dosage

The dose depends on your tank volume and your GH reading. Use the dose rates printed on the packaging.

• New aquarium: fill the tank with water, then add the required dose directly to the aquarium.
• Aquarium that already contains an axolotl: add the dose slowly over the course of 5 days to avoid stressing the axolotl.
• Water changes: calculate the volume of new water being added and mix the required dose into that new water. The dose is only for the volume of new water being added. Do not dose for the full aquarium volume.

How do I work out how much to add?
Calculate your tank volume in litres (length x width x depth in cm, divided by 1000). Then test your GH and follow the dose rates on the packaging. Tap water hardness varies between areas in South Africa, so testing GH first is important.

Which test kits can I use to check GH?

My axolotl is already in the tank. How do I dose?
Add the required dose slowly over 5 days to avoid stressing the axolotl.

Do I dose the whole tank at every water change?
