The NT Labs Broad pH Test Kit provides a simple easy to use testing kit for determining pH levels between 6 and 9 in ponds and aquariums . The NT Labs Broad pH Test Kit comes complete with test tube and liquid reagents to provide accurate results for 40 tests.

pH is the measure of the acidity or alkalinity of the water in your pond. Most fish prefer the water to be between 7 and 8 and fluctuations outside these values can cause stress to the fish.

What is pH?
The new Broad Range pH Test is for testing water within the pH range of 6 – 9. This pH test now covers the pH range more likely observed in your pond or aquarium and also offers improved precision with 0.5 unit determination.

What is the correct pH level?
There is no definitive correct pH as different fish species have their preferred pH range. Generally, the ideal pH value will lie between 7 and 8, but there are some exceptions. When purchasing fish from your local aquatic retailer, always enquire as to the specific water requirements of the fish you are buying. 

What do I do if the level is wrong?
If you do need to adjust the pH of your water, it is vital to do this slowly to not shock the fish. Change no more than 0.5 pH units per 2 days. Providing your tap water is of suitable pH, substantial water changes can correct a dangerous pH level. It is also important to check the KH of the pond or aquarium. The use of pH adjusters, such as NT Labs KH Buffer Up for ponds or NT Labs Aquarium KH Up - PH Stabiliser for aquariums will raise the pH caused by soft or aged water. For fish that prefer to live in soft, acidic water use bogwood to gently lower the pH and soften the water.

No more waiting at home or at work for your delivery. Simply choose a collection locker or pickup point and collect your order when it suits you.

Delivery times to lockers and pickup locations typically range from 2–7 working days, depending on your location.*

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.
• Pargo Pickup Points: Collect within 5 days of arrival at the pickup location.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 14 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
