Nutribird P15 Original Maintenance Pellets

Nutribird P15 Original Maintenance Pellets

Nutribird P15 Original Maintenance Pellets are extruded maintenance pellets for parrots, made to supply the nutrients your bird needs in every bite. Because each pellet has the same composition, they help discourage the selective eating that happens with loose seed mixes. They are a practical everyday choice for parrot keepers who want a consistent, balanced staple diet.

Key Benefits

• Extruded, monocolour pellets, so every pellet is the same and there is nothing to pick out.
• Designed to prevent selective eating behaviour, and completely consumable.
• Scientifically approved composition with all the nutrients your birds need.
• Based on selected grains, fruit and peanuts.
• Supports the intestinal flora and is formulated to help protect against intestinal disorders.
• Recommended by veterinarians and used worldwide by ornithological parks and top breeders.
• An alternative to other complete parrot and conure foods.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "maintenance food" mean for parrots?
It is a food for everyday feeding of healthy adult parrots. It supplies the nutrients a parrot needs in a single pellet and is not a specialist or breeding diet.

How do these pellets help with selective eating?
Each extruded pellet has the same make-up and is completely consumable. Your parrot cannot pick out favourite seeds and leave the rest, so it takes in the full balance of nutrients.

How much should I feed?
The manufacturer's directions are to provide freely. Keep the dish topped up with fresh pellets.

Do the pellets contain peanuts?
Yes. The composition lists peeled peanuts at 10%, along with cereals, seeds (3%) and fruit (apple 5%, dehydrated, % equivalent before drying). Check this against your bird's dietary needs.

What do the protein and fat levels look like?
The analytical constituents are protein 15%, fat content 16% and crude fibre 2.5%. Calcium is 0.9% and phosphorus 0.6%, which is the calcium/phosphorus ratio behind the Opti Calcium feature.

Which pack size should I choose?
The pellets come in 1kg and 3kg. Choose the smaller pack for a single bird or to try the pellets first, and the larger one if you feed several birds or want fewer reorders.
