How to Use

Feed the daily ration according to your pet's age and size (see Dosage below). These amounts are guidelines only. If your hamster or gerbil is overweight or underweight, speak to your veterinarian or Oxbow for more specific feeding advice.

Hamsters are known to hoard and hide their food, particularly females and those housed with other hamsters. Check for stockpiles regularly and adjust the daily ration as required.

Hamsters and gerbils don't need hay as a staple in their diet, but offer free-choice hay so they have somewhere to burrow and hide.

Dosage

• Young (under six months), or pregnant / nursing small hamster or gerbil / large hamster: unlimited.
• Adult (over six months) small hamster: 1/8 cup.
