Treated water is safe for birds and animals to drink. May be harmful to some species of aquatic plants - use with caution on sensitive plant species. If used with fish, ensure the pond has good filtration and constant oxygen exchange. The product strips oxygen from the water, which can cause fish to suffocate if there is no filter or flow.
