Description

Red Sea Salt

Red Sea Salt is a marine aquarium salt mix used to make a seawater solution for reef and fish-only tanks. It replicates natural seawater conditions to support marine fish and invertebrates, and suits both hobbyists and professionals.

Key Benefits

  • Based on natural sea salt harvested from the waters of the Red Sea by solar evaporation, then enriched with other refined minerals to closely replicate natural seawater.
  • One chemically balanced formula designed to support the most delicate marine life.
  • Suitable for marine fish and invertebrates from every sea and ocean.
  • Reaches a stable, natural pH shortly after mixing.
  • Contains no nitrates or phosphates.
  • Produced in small batches to keep the salt mixture homogeneous.
  • Every batch is biologically and chemically tested for quality control.
  • Used for over 10 years by hobbyists and professionals, and known for its favourable effect on invertebrates.
  • The manufacturer describes it as the only salt formulation offered today that is derived principally from a living sea.

How to Use

Dissolve the salt in reverse osmosis (R.O.) water at 25°C. The mix can be made up to any salinity you want, so you can match your own tank's target. Allow about 2 hours of mixing or aerating for the pH to settle at 8.4. It works for a small water change or for filling a brand-new aquarium.

Dosage

  • 1 kg dissolved in 30 litres of 25°C R.O. water makes a seawater solution with the values listed under Specifications.
  • Salinity can be adjusted to suit your system.

Suitable For

  • Marine fish and invertebrates, including delicate species.
  • Routine partial water changes.
  • Complete new marine aquarium set-ups.
