Seachem Alerts Combo is a continuous in-aquarium monitoring set for aquarists who want to keep track of free ammonia and pH without water sampling, test strips or chemical test procedures. It combines Seachem Ammonia Alert™ for freshwater and marine aquariums with pH Alert™ for freshwater aquariums.

How to Use

Place pH Alert™ visibly anywhere in the freshwater aquarium or filter. Position Ammonia Alert™ in the aquarium where it can be viewed easily. No water samples, chemicals or test procedures are required. A dry Ammonia Alert™ sensor may appear greenish and can take up to a few days to equilibrate in water.

Suitable For

Ammonia Alert™ is suitable for freshwater or marine aquariums. pH Alert™ is for freshwater aquariums only. The Ammonia Alert™ device is not recommended for use at acid pH.

Care

Remove algae using a clean, soft material. Avoid touching the sensor with fingers, as skin oils can damage it. Do not use bleach, soap, detergents or hard objects. Some dye medications may discolour the sensor. For maximum sensitivity, read the device under natural daylight or daylight-simulating light.

Ammonia Alert™ can be used in marine or freshwater aquariums. pH Alert™ is for freshwater aquariums only.

Does this combo require test kits or water samples?
No. Both devices are designed for continuous in-aquarium readings without sampling water, chemicals, strips or test procedures.

What ammonia level causes Ammonia Alert™ to change colour?
A greenish hue can appear at as little as 0.02 mg/L free ammonia. The ALERT colour is about 0.05 mg/L, ALARM about 0.2 mg/L, and TOXIC about 0.5 mg/L free ammonia.

How quickly will the ammonia monitor respond?
It detects the presence of free ammonia continuously, with a response time of about 15 minutes. A decrease in ammonia can take about 4 hours to move from TOXIC to SAFE.

What pH range does pH Alert™ monitor?
pH Alert™ monitors freshwater pH changes between 5.8 and 8.2. When first placed in service, it responds in about 30 minutes; thereafter, changes register within ten minutes.

How do I clean the alert sensors?

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
