Seachem Amguard is a liquid water conditioner for aquarium and pond keepers who need to reduce toxic free ammonia quickly, including during tank cycling or unexpected water-quality emergencies. It reacts with free ammonia within minutes, works for up to 48 hours, and also removes chlorine and chloramines without altering pH.

How to Use

Add the required amount daily or as needed according to the free ammonia level. Do not use if the water temperature is above 30 °C (86 °F).

Dosage

• Beginner: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 200 L (50 gallons*) daily or as needed to reduce ammonia.
• With Ammonia Alert™ reading Alert: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 400 L (100 gallons*) daily.
• With Ammonia Alert™ reading Alarm: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 200 L (50 gallons*) daily.
• With Ammonia Alert™ reading Toxic: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 gallons*) daily.
• With MultiTest®: Free & Total Ammonia: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons*) to remove 1 mg/L (ppm) of free ammonia.
• For calculated dosing in litres: 0.125AV=m, where A is ammonia concentration in mg/L, V is the water volume being treated, and m is the volume of AmGuard™ required in mL.
• For calculated dosing in gallons*: 0.5AV=m.

Specifications

The 2 L and 4 L containers have a 10 mL cap. Traditional ammonia test kits can show a false positive after treatment because they convert all ammonia to free ammonia by raising pH to 12–14. Use Ammonia Alert™ or MultiTest®: Free & Total Ammonia to monitor free ammonia directly.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
