How to Use

• Add the leaves directly to the aquarium. They may float at first, but normally sink after 2-3 days.
• Remove and replace leaves every month, or as desired.
• For a catappa extract, boil 3 g, approximately two-and-a-half leaves, in 1 litre (1 US quart) of water for 10 minutes or until the desired colour is reached.
• Allow the extract to cool to aquarium temperature before adding it directly to the tank or mixing it with prepared water for water changes.
• When using extract for the first time, add it gradually over 2-3 days and monitor pH to keep it within the suitable range for your tank inhabitants.

Dosage

• Add 1-2 leaves per 20 litres (5 US gallons).

Compatibility

• Chemical filtration media, including activated carbon, can remove compounds released by catappa leaves.
