Seachem Pond HealthGuard is a pond fish disinfectant formulated to promote the control of parasitic, bacterial, fungal and viral infestations in outdoor ponds. This 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) treatment is for pond keepers who need a dye-free option that, when used as directed, is safe for fish, plants and biological filtration.

Dosage

• Use 125 mL (half a cup) per 1000 L (250 US gallons) daily until conditions improve.
• Then use 125 mL (half a cup) per 2000 L (500 US gallons) daily for about one week.
• For prophylactic use, use 1/4 dose.
• Dispense widely around the pond to avoid a localised overdose.

How to Use

Calculate pond volume by multiplying average length, width and depth. For litres, measure in metres and multiply by 1000; for gallons, measure in feet and multiply by 7.5. For irregular pond shapes, take as many measurements as practical to avoid overestimating volume and possible overdose. Account for water displaced by potted plants, rocks and other décor.

Compatibility

• Do not use with other treatments.
• Do not use where copper or zinc are present.
• Do not use if Dimilin has ever been used unless a 100% water change has removed all traces.
• Do not use when oxygen levels are depressed or water temperature exceeds 30 °C (86 °F).
• In most ponds, the product does not persist longer than 24 hours, but redosing may need to be delayed in exceptionally clean water.

Can I use this treatment during hot South African summer weather?
Do not use when pond water exceeds 30 °C (86 °F) or when oxygen levels are depressed. If adding to hazy water, be prepared to replace water with oxygenated water because oxygen depletion may occur.

Why is accurate pond volume important?
Accurate volume calculation helps prevent overdosing. Include average dimensions for irregular ponds and subtract the displacement caused by rocks, potted plants and other decorative materials.

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.
