UltraZap UV Clarifier Professional Marine Series with Quartz Sleeve is used to eradicate free floating algae and maintain clear aquarium water without the use of chemicals, ensuring no side effects on fish, plants, or coral.

An aquarium with clear water is an attractive feature, which brings many hours of enjoyment and relaxation. A green, algae-infested aquarium is unappealing to look at and makes it difficult to determine whether your fish and coral have a disease or have injured themselves. Algae also poses a threat as it starves your fish of the essential oxygen they require.

An Ultra Zap UV unit will eradicate free floating algae and maintain a clear aquarium throughout the year. The UV works by exposing the photo tropic micro-organisms i.e.: free floating single celled algae to dose of UV radiation. This destroys and prevents the regrowth of the algae. Ultra Zap UV’s have no side effects on the inhabitants of your aquarium and its environment.

How it works

An Ultra Zap UV Sterilizer will maintain a clear aquarium throughout the year without the use of chemicals. The unit works by exposing the phototrophic micro-organisms (free floating single celled algae) to a dose of UV radiation. This destroys and prevents the regrowth of the phototropic micro-organisms.

Safe to use

Ultra Zap UV units have no side effects on the inhabitants of your aquarium or environment. If algaecides are used, you have the risk of over-treatment and/or residual chemical build up in your aquarium. The inhabitants, fish and plants, of your aquarium, are to some degree sensitive to algaecides. With the use of an Ultra Zap unit you stand no risk of this.

UV-C (315-400nm) is often referred to as germicidal wavelength, because of its ability to destroy micro-organisms. The tubes in all of our UV sterilisers emit a wide range of ultraviolet with its most significant part at a wavelength of 253.7nm, which has been found to be the most efficient for germicidal action.

No more waiting at home or at work for your delivery. Simply choose a collection locker or pickup point and collect your order when it suits you.

Delivery times to lockers and pickup locations typically range from 2–7 working days, depending on your location.*

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.
• Pargo Pickup Points: Collect within 5 days of arrival at the pickup location.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 14 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
