Description

Aquavitro Plant Premier

Aquavitro Plant Premier is a concentrated water conditioner for planted freshwater aquariums. Made by Seachem’s Aquavitro range, it removes chlorine and chloramines from new or replacement water without affecting aquarium pH, making it ideal for aquascapes and planted tanks.

Key Benefits

  • Removes chlorine and chloramines from tap water.
  • Specially formulated for planted aquariums.
  • Non-acidic formula that does not impact pH.
  • Does not contain sodium.
  • Concentrated potassium thiosulfate solution for efficient water treatment.

How It Works
Aquavitro Plant Premier reacts with chlorine and chloramines in tap water. When treating chloramine, ammonia is produced; in a planted aquarium this is predominantly present as ammonium, which aquarium plants can rapidly use as a nutrient source.

Dosage
Use 5 mL of Aquavitro Plant Premier for every 190 L (50 US gallons) of water. Add it when setting up a planted aquarium and whenever adding or replacing water. It can be dosed directly into the aquarium, although treating new water before adding it to the tank is recommended. If dosing directly into the aquarium, calculate the dose according to the full aquarium volume.

For High Chloramine Levels
A double dose may be used where chloramine concentrations are exceptionally high.

Suitable For
Freshwater planted aquariums, including planted community tanks, aquascapes and tanks receiving regular tap-water top-ups or water changes.

Not Suitable For
Do not use Aquavitro Plant Premier in saltwater or marine aquariums. Thiosulfate-based conditioners can produce ammonia when neutralising chloramines, which makes this product unsuitable for marine systems.

Size
350 mL bottle.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much Aquavitro Plant Premier should I use?
Dose 5 mL per 190 L (50 US gallons) of water being treated. When adding it directly to the aquarium, dose according to the aquarium’s total water volume.

Can I add Plant Premier directly to my planted tank?
Yes. It may be added directly to the aquarium, but adding it to replacement water first is the preferred method.

Will Aquavitro Plant Premier change my aquarium pH?
No. It is non-acidic and is formulated not to impact pH.

Can I use this conditioner in a marine aquarium?
No. Aquavitro Plant Premier is intended for planted freshwater aquariums and should not be used in saltwater systems.

Why is Plant Premier suited to planted aquariums?
When chloramine is neutralised, the resulting ammonia is predominantly ammonium in planted tanks, which plants can rapidly scavenge as a nutrient source.
