Do I really need to wash Daro Aquarium Gravels before using it?
Yes. DARO says the gravel should be washed well under tap water before use. Rinsing removes dust and fine particles so your tank water starts out clear.

Can I rinse the gravel with normal South African tap water?
Yes. Tap water is what the manufacturer specifies for washing. Most municipal water in South Africa is treated with chlorine or chloramine, so use a water conditioner on the water you fill the tank with.

Should I use soap or detergent to clean the gravel?
No. Use plain running tap water only. Any soap left on the gravel could end up in your aquarium.

How do I know when the gravel is clean enough?
Keep rinsing and stirring each batch until the water draining from it runs clear rather than cloudy.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
