It suits South African fishkeepers who want a daily betta food with a high insect and crustacean content and no fish meal.

Bettas and their labyrinth relatives naturally eat small insects, larvae and crustaceans. Dennerle built Betta Booster around that diet. Thirty-five percent of the recipe comes from insects and crustaceans, and the rest is balanced with molluscs, vegetables, herbs and plankton algae. A special softening process gives the granules a texture close to live food animals, which is a big reason fussy bettas take to them so readily.

Yes. Dennerle designed it for all fighting fish and for other labyrinth fish, such as threadfins and gouramis, so it works well in a community of labyrinth species.

Does this betta food contain fish meal?
No. It is made without fish meal and without artificial preservatives. Its protein comes from insect larvae (27%), crustaceans (8%) and molluscs (4%).

Why are the granules soft instead of hard pellets?
A special softening process makes the granules as soft as natural food animals. Bettas tend to accept them more readily, which helps with fussy eaters.

Will Betta Booster help with water quality in a small betta tank?
