Combine aquarium heating and water circulation in one compact unit with the Hygger 2 in 1 Aquarium Heater with Wave Maker. Suitable for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, the HGY0009 lets you run the heater and pump together or operate either function separately.

Heating and circulation in one device

The integrated pump moves water around the aquarium to help distribute heat and reduce stagnant areas. When heating is unnecessary, use the wave maker on its own. The combined design reduces the number of separate devices inside your tank.

External controller with LED display

Monitor the current and set water temperatures on the three-digit display. Dedicated HEAT, SET and PUMP buttons provide access to the functions. Hold the PUMP button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Protective features

• Dry-run protection stops the heater and pump when the unit is out of water, with an audible alert.
• Overheat protection stops heating when water temperature exceeds 35°C; the pump continues running.
• A low-temperature warning sounds below 15°C while heating continues.
• Motor obstruction and reverse protection suspend pumping and heating, with automatic restart attempts.

Available models and aquarium sizes

• 800W: manufacturer's recommended tank range of 80–220 US gallons, approximately 303–833 litres.
• 1000W: manufacturer's recommended tank range of 130–260 US gallons, approximately 492–984 litres.

Choose the model for your aquarium volume and heating requirements. Room temperature and the difference between ambient and target water temperature affect heater performance.

Construction and installation

The heating element uses corrosion-resistant 840 stainless steel, nickel-chromium heating wire and magnesium powder for heat transfer. Four suction cups secure the unit inside the aquarium, while the controller remains outside the water.

• Heater and pump body: approximately 187.6 × 70.9 × 108.2 mm.
• External controller: approximately 66.8 × 29.4 × 121.3 mm.
• Heater-to-controller cable: approximately 1.5 m.
• Controller-to-socket cable: approximately 1.2 m.

Care and operation

Keep the submersible unit fully underwater during operation and follow the supplied manual. Disconnect power before removing or cleaning it. Regularly clean the pump intake and heating area to prevent debris buildup. Check the electrical rating on your unit before installation.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
