• Rainshower pipe outlet: this drip pipe disperses the water flow across the surface. It adds an attractive element to the tank and increases oxygen levels.
• Duckbill head outlet: this creates waves at multiple angles. The water flow direction is adjustable for precise control.
• Straight outlet: this delivers a powerful, large flow for effective water movement throughout the tank.
• Outlet oil skimmer: this deals with the oil film that can collect on the water surface.

How to Use

Once the power is switched on, the integrated pump starts a continuous filtered water cycle:

• Dirty water is drawn in from the bottom of the water inlet pipe. A portion of the water carrying an oil film is directed to the oil skimmer port.
• The water then moves into the filter chamber and passes through three stages of filter media.
• Clean water is returned to the tank through the outlet pipe.

There are two ways to set the filter up. You can mount it on the tank using the adjustable fixing clamp, which suits tank glass up to 18 mm (0.7") thick. Alternatively, you can place it beside the aquarium without hanging it.

If there is air in the pipes, you may hear noisy water flow when you first run the filter. This is normal. It fades as the air is expelled from the system.

Yes. It is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

How thick can my tank glass be for hanging the filter?
The adjustable fixing clamp suits glass up to 18 mm (0.7") thick. If your glass is thicker, you can place the filter beside the tank instead of hanging it.

Is it safe for shrimp and small fish?
The bottom of the inlet pipe is covered with a sponge to help prevent small fish and shrimp from being sucked in. The inlet height is also adjustable.

Why is the water flow noisy when I first switch it on?
Air trapped in the pipes can cause noisy flow at first. This is normal and fades once the air has been expelled from the system.

Which model should I choose for my tank?
The 6W model, with a 100 GPH flow rate, is recommended for 10 to 20-gallon (40 to 75 L) tanks. The 8W model, with a 180GPH flow rate and double the ceramic ball media, is recommended for 40 to 60-gallon tanks.

Can I use it in a low-water turtle tank?
No. This back canister filter is not suitable for low-water turtle tanks.
