Hole-in-the-Head disease and Bloat are two of the most worrying conditions a fishkeeper can face — and both are notoriously difficult to treat. Octozin is NT Labs' answer: a targeted three-day course designed to tackle the bacteria and parasites behind these illnesses, across a wide range of species. It's a particularly welcome addition for African cichlid keepers, who know all too well how quickly Bloat can take hold.

When to reach for it
Use Octozin if your fish are showing the classic signs of Hole-in-the-Head — holes, pits or lesions around the head, face or along the lateral line. It's equally suited to Bloat, where you'll notice abdominal swelling, protruding scales, white or clear trailing faeces and a loss of appetite. Catching either early gives your fish the best chance.

How to use it
Before treating, clean the aquarium, carry out a water change and test your parameters to make sure they're in range. Increase aeration, then gently tip the bottle ten times (don't shake it), mix the required amount into a litre of aquarium water and add it slowly. The full dose is split evenly across three consecutive days.

Good to know
A little surface foam during treatment is normal and soon fades. Keep filtration running but switch off UV sterilisers and ozonisers, and remove carbon and zeolite until four days after the final dose. Don't combine it with other medications, and avoid using it if your water sits below pH 7, KH 4 or GH 4.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.
• Pargo Pickup Points: Collect within 5 days of arrival at the pickup location.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 14 days before being returned.
