NT Labs Satus Filter Start is a biofilter starter and accelerated tank-maturing treatment for freshwater and marine aquariums. It is made for fish keepers setting up a new tank who want to establish and enhance the biofilter quickly and avoid 'new tank syndrome'. The name comes from the Latin "Satus", meaning "Start".

How to Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use.
• Turn off any UV or ozone unit, and switch it back on 2 hours after adding Satus.
• Work out your aquarium volume in litres: length x width x depth (in cm) / 1000.
• Check the label for the full dose rate for your tank volume.
• Keep the dosage up for the full 7 days. If you do, fish and other aquatic species can be added to the aquarium at any point.
• Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.

Dosage

Dose according to your calculated aquarium volume, following the full dose rate on the label, and maintain the dosage for the full 7 days when starting a new tank. Satus cannot be overdosed. For ongoing biofilter support, add it:

• Monthly, for improved biofilter function.
• When introducing new fish.
• After each filter clean or water change.
• After treating the aquarium with medication.

Compatibility

• Use Satus alongside an aquarium filter. It is not a replacement for one.

Can I overdose Satus Filter Start?
No. Satus cannot be overdosed and is harmless to all aquatic species, including plants. Still follow the full dose rate on the label for your tank volume.

How long does it take before I can add fish?
If you maintain the dosage for the full 7 days, fish and other aquatic species can be added to the aquarium at any point.

Do I need to switch off my UV or ozone unit?
Yes. Turn it off before adding Satus and switch it back on 2 hours afterwards.

How do I work out which size I need?
Calculate your tank volume in litres: length x width x depth (in cm) / 1000. Then match it to the range: 100ml treats 2000L, 250ml treats 5000L and 500ml treats 10000L.

When should I dose again after the initial start-up?
Add Satus monthly to support biofilter function. Also add it when introducing new fish, after each filter clean or water change, and after treating the aquarium with medication.

Can Satus replace my aquarium filter?
No. Satus is designed to be used alongside a filter, not instead of one. For start-ups, water changes and regular maintenance, NT Labs Optimus is recommended alongside it, and NT Labs Test Kits can be used to monitor your water.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
