Seachem Flourite Planted Substrate is a specially fractured, stable and porous clay gravel for natural planted aquariums. Designed for aquarists creating a planted freshwater tank, it provides an integral substrate bed with an appearance suited to aquatic plant displays, while also being suitable for any freshwater aquarium environment.
Key Benefits

- Can be used as the main substrate bed or mixed with other gravels.
- Does not require gravel modifiers such as laterite.
- Not chemically coated or treated.
- Will not alter aquarium water pH.
- Made for long-term use and does not need replacing during the life of the aquarium.
Suitable For
- Natural planted freshwater aquariums.
- Freshwater community aquariums where a natural gravel substrate is required.

How to Use
- Although pre-washed, rinse before use if needed, as this natural product can become dusty during transit.
- Use Flourite alone for the most effective integral substrate bed, or mix it with other aquarium gravels if preferred.
- Add aquarium water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate. Place a bowl in the aquarium and pour water into the bowl so that it overflows gently onto the gravel bed.
- Initial cloudiness is normal. Use mechanical filtration, such as filter floss, to remove cloudiness; Seachem Clarity can be used to accelerate clearing.
Compatibility
- Suitable for freshwater aquarium use.
- Compatible with mechanical filtration for clearing initial dust-related cloudiness.
What's Included
- Seachem Flourite Planted Substrate.
