Seachem Safe is a highly concentrated dry water conditioner for freshwater and marine aquariums. Designed for fishkeepers treating new or replacement water, it removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia while detoxifying nitrite and nitrate without affecting pH.

How to Use

Use at aquarium start-up and whenever adding or replacing water. Seachem Safe may be added directly to the aquarium, although adding it to new water first is preferred. When dosing directly into the aquarium, calculate the dose according to total aquarium volume.

Dosage

• Use 100 mg Safe (scoop) per 100 L (25 gallons) as needed to reduce chlorine and chloramine.
• For ammonia, use 100 mg Safe (scoop) per 25 L (6 gallons).
• Alternatively, use 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) per 1,250 L (300 gallons) for chlorine and chloramine, or 1.25 g (1/4 tsp.) per 300 L (75 gallons) for ammonia.
• For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely.
• To detoxify nitrite and nitrate in an emergency, use up to four times the normal dose.
• If water temperature is above 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose.

Yes. Seachem Safe is formulated for both freshwater and saltwater aquarium water.

Should I add Safe to the aquarium or to replacement water?
It can be added directly to the aquarium, but it is better to add it to new water before that water enters the tank.

Does Seachem Safe affect aquarium pH?
No. The product is non-acidic and will not impact pH.

Can I use Seachem Safe while cycling a new aquarium?
Yes. It may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia and nitrite toxicity.

What should I do if my tap water has very high chloramine levels?
For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely.

Can Safe be used with a protein skimmer?
Yes. Seachem Safe will not overactivate skimmers.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
