Description
Description
Aquavitro Plant Aquasolum
Aquavitro Plant Aquasolum is a lightweight, porous planted aquarium substrate from Seachem’s Aquavitro range, formulated for planted tanks and shrimp nano-aquariums. It is especially suitable for aquariums with alkaline water, where it helps to lower pH while creating a natural mineral-based rooting medium for aquatic plants.
Key Benefits
- Humate-containing aquarium substrate derived from humic substances and minerals.
- Helps lower the pH of alkaline aquarium water.
- Porous texture provides an effective substrate bed for planted aquariums.
- Humic substances may help improve the uptake of micronutrients by aquarium plants.
- Well suited to compact planted tanks and shrimp nano-aquariums.
Ingredients
Aquasolum contains leonardite, rhyolite, biotite, quartz, feldspar, obsidian and amphibole. It contains 1.12% humic acid from leonardite as a non-plant-food ingredient.
How to Use
Aquavitro Plant Aquasolum is pre-washed, but dust may develop during transport. Rinse the substrate before use if needed to remove residual dust. Add the desired depth to the aquarium, then fill the tank slowly to avoid disrupting the substrate bed. Place a bowl inside the aquarium and pour water into the bowl, allowing it to overflow gently onto the substrate.
Volume Guide
Each 2 kg bag occupies approximately 1,630 cm3 (100 cu. in.). To calculate the substrate volume required, multiply your aquarium’s width by length by the desired substrate depth.
Water Clarity
Some initial cloudiness is normal after filling. Use mechanical filtration, such as filter floss, to remove suspended particles. Seachem Clarity® can be used to accelerate clearing.
Suitable For
- Freshwater planted aquariums
- Shrimp nano-aquariums
- Aquariums with alkaline water
- Aquascapes requiring a lightweight, porous plant substrate
