Pond Medic Broad Spectrum is a pond medication for treating fish with ulcers, fish that flick or scrape against objects, and fish carrying visible crustacean parasites. It also temporarily clears green water, which makes it a useful all-round treatment for pond keepers dealing with several problems at once.

How to Use

Shake the bottle vigorously before every application. Choose the method that suits the problem:

• Bath treatment: Dose the pond water directly. Treat daily until the pink colour remains in the water for 10-12 hours. Check the colour in the white cup.
• Dip treatment: Treat an individual fish in a separate container. Leave the fish in the dip for 30 minutes only.
• Swab solution: Pour the solution directly onto a cotton swab and touch it onto ulcers, wounds, fungus, Argulus lice and anchor worms. Take care not to touch the eyes or gills directly with the medication. Treat wounds only once directly, because repeating the treatment can erode the flesh tissue.
• General prevention: Dose at half strength.

• Bath treatment: 1 ml per 30 l of pond water, which means 10 ml for every 300 l of pond water treated
• Dip treatment: 5 drops or 5 ml per 30 l, in a separate container for 30 minutes only
• Swab solution: applied neat to a cotton swab and touched directly onto the affected area, once only per wound
• General prevention: half strength

Important Precautions

• Never use Broad Spectrum in conjunction with other medication.
• Always aerate the water when treating fish.
• All medication is harmful to biological filters, so reseed the filter with bacteria after treatment.
• If you overdose, the reaction can be stopped by adding an anti-chlorine treatment to the water.
• An individual fish can be dipped in milk for a few seconds to eliminate all trace elements.
• Poisonous. Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
• Not to be used on fish intended for human consumption.
