How to Use

• Use alone as an integral substrate bed for best results, or mix with other gravels if preferred.
• Although pre-washed, rinse before use if dust has developed during transit.
• Fill the aquarium slowly to prevent disturbing the substrate bed.
• Place a bowl in the aquarium and add water directly into it, allowing the water to overflow gently onto the gravel.
• Initial cloudiness is normal. Use mechanical filtration, such as filter floss, to remove cloudiness. Seachem Clarity™ may be used to accelerate clearing.

Do I need to rinse Seachem Flourite Black Sand before adding it to my aquarium?
It is pre-washed, but as it is a natural product it can become dusty during transit. Rinse it before use if residual dust is present.

Will this black planted aquarium substrate change my aquarium pH?
No. Flourite Black Sand is not chemically coated or treated and will not alter the pH of the water.

Can I use Flourite Black Sand in a freshwater aquarium without live plants?
Yes. While its appearance is best suited to planted aquaria, it may be used in any freshwater aquarium environment.

Must I mix this substrate with laterite or another gravel modifier?
No. Gravel modifiers such as laterite are not necessary.

Can Flourite Black Sand be mixed with other aquarium gravel?
Yes. It is most effective when used alone as an integral substrate bed, but it may also be mixed with other gravels.

Why is my aquarium water cloudy after adding the substrate?
Initial cloudiness is normal. Use mechanical filtration such as filter floss to remove it, or use Seachem Clarity™ to accelerate clearing.

Collection timeframes:

• Bob Box: Collect within 2 days of receiving your collection notification.
• PUDO Lockers: Collect within 36 hours of receiving your collection PIN or SMS notification.

If a PUDO parcel is not collected within 36 hours, it will automatically be transferred to the nearest PUDO Kiosk or Depot at no additional cost. The parcel will then be held there for approximately 2 days before being returned.

Please ensure you collect your parcel within the applicable collection period. Uncollected parcels will be returned to the sender, and additional shipping charges may apply should the order need to be resent.
